Wats your Artist name ? I go by Ciny  which is short for Cinthya 

 

 How long have You been a graphic designer & how did you start? Ive been doing graphic design for about 7 years I started to get into it when I was in HS I took a class as an elective and it was  literally the only class that I ever enjoyed, school was not my thing but graphic design inspired me to stay in school get a degree and Ive been doing it ever since , but I would say that more recently about 3 years ago is when I really got serious with it and started putting more thing out through my social media  

 

 Do you have a favorite piece of work that you made & Why? I did a self portrait a year ago for an all Hispanic woman art exhibition , its a Poly-Portrait and I say thats my favorite piece because it was a really empowering piece and it really boosted my confidence in what Iam doing as an artist , it was the first piece I ever exhibited at a show and it also sold at that show , but also having it be an all Hispanic woman exhibition was super inspiring and dope for me .

 

 Who or What inspires you? Fafi really really inspired everything that I do , growing up I was obsessed with her dolls and her murals and how rad and sexy cool the dolls were  I used to sketch them out and hang them in my room , the concept of being an artist never occurred to me before Fafi like I knew about art but art as in Picasso , Van Gogh and that stuff is dope but my style is more of that street art modern fun poppy bright color art and thats what Fafi introduced me to.

 

What city are you from & did your city have any influence on who you are today? I grew up in Costa Mesa in Orange County theres really not much to do in Costa Mesa and Ive always been attracted to the city life so for me LA had more of an influence on me , all the street art the people LA makes you want to be somebody its very inspiring , where as Costa Mesa people are content staying there being around the same people doing the same thing , and that just wasn't  for me

 

 What can we be expecting from you this year ? This year Ill be focusing alot more on my Illustrations in the past I did alot of photography and Illustrated work this year Im going to really focus on my graphic work and putting out more dope stuff that people can eventually buy 

 

Whats your advice to anybody just starting to get into graphic design? I guess my advice would be that there is always someone out there thats better than you, and thats just how it is with everything though , but being in anything artistic its very easy to get discouraged by what other people are doing because so many artist out there are killing the game , but just do you have your own unique style as long as you stay true to your vision you're going to kill the game too sooner or later people will catch on. 

 

What was your favorite cartoon as a child? Im a 90's baby and we had the best cartoons hands down! the Anamaniacs , Pinky and the Brain , Duck tales , looney tunes I loved all of them 

 

If you could collab with any artist who would it be? Mc fucken Fly  aha , really tho McFly if you dont already check out his work on Instagram @Mcfly he is just way too dope super talented and definitely killing the game 

 

Whats your ideal dream job ? My Ideal job would be just full time Artist,  I enjoy doing commercial work but alot of that is doing what other people want but being a full time artist where people buy my Art I have my own studio I do work that I think is dope and people buy it thats the Dreeeaaam ! One day 

 

 Who do you currently have in rotation music wise? Isaiah Rashad - The Suns Tirade , best album of 2016 in my opinion 

 

 Whats the hardest part about being A graphic designer? Not getting so attached to your work, graphic designers deal with alot of criticism and I gotta learn not to take it so personal because what I think is dope a client might not and i have to change my work to please them which is a little painful sometimes but you have to do it, so yeah its hard to not get attached to the work your creating
